A little clarity
on privacy.

How this portfolio uses visitor information, and how to switch analytics off.

Understanding what is useful.

I use Matomo, hosted on my own server, to understand which projects people visit, how they move through the portfolio, which links they open and approximately how long they actively spend here. Visits and link clicks may include a referring website or campaign label.

Analytics cookies and browser-feature detection are disabled. Your browser still sends technical information, including an IP address and browser information, when it connects to the analytics server. I do not ask Matomo to associate visits with your name or email address. Search text entered into the work filter is not recorded.

This setup does not record your screen, keystrokes, form contents or session replays. It respects supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. Timing is an estimate of activity, not proof that someone read a page.

Your choice.

You can turn analytics off for this browser. The site stores only your on/off preference locally. That preference is separate from analytics cookies and does not identify you.

JavaScript is needed to display and change your analytics preference. With JavaScript disabled, this portfolio does not send analytics requests.

Hosting and contact.

The website is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests to deliver its pages. Its operational logs are separate from my Matomo reports. If you email me, I use the information you send to respond to your enquiry.
